Can I use dropshipping to source and sell popular long tail products?

I have noticed a decline in sales in my Shopify store which in turn has negatively affected my AOV. I have read about how people sell popular long tail products in order to achieve an increase in sales. Is it possible for me to source products like this using dropshipping?

Nearly 57% of Amazon's book sales come from long-tail searches, making the long tail strategy ideal for eCommerce marketplaces. However, combining the long tail with the dropshipping call for some challenges that may be hard to overcome:
- Choosing the "right" dropshipping supplier.
- Shopping complexities such as receiving an order of five products that you ship from five different dropship suppliers.
- Your customer orders will be misled if your inventory is not in sync with your drop-shipping wholesalers.
