How do I track conversions on my blog?

So I know that I need to use Google Analytics for tracking data on websites, but I'm not familiar with how to use it. Can someone please tell me how I can track conversions?

You’ll create a new goal by clicking all website data on your Google Analytics dashboard. On the left, select conversions then, goals, and click the setup goals button. Choose new goals, and fill out all the details about the goal. To view conversions, click acquisition, then overview and select the goal under conversions. From there, you can start analyzing your conversions.
