How is Microsoft Excel used in business analytics?

Asked 2 years ago

I just feel like Excel is an outdated program and don't really see the uses for it in a modern business for analytics purposes. What kind of business analytics would benefit from the use of Microsoft Excel from a project management viewpoint?

Up to this date, many businesses worldwide emphasise using Microsoft Excel to get a clear insight into their performance and output. Businesses and industries still prefer using the old-fashioned and economical way of using excel for performance reporting, operations management, and business analysis.

The reason is Excel is simple, fundamental and analytical to use; it smoothens business operations, including office administration, strategic analysis, project management, managing programs.

The bottom line is, even after so many years, the excel method is still an excellent way to store your data neatly and concisely.
