How can I calculate follower growth rate for Instagram?

Hi there. I am looking to start tracking follower growth rate on Instagram, as I have heard that this provides an indication of the target audiences' engagement with the brand. However, I have never calculated this before and do not know where to start. Does anyone know how to calculate this metric? TYIA.

The follower growth rate is calculated as the number of gained followers divided by the number of followers you started, times 100%.
Follower Growth Rate = New Followers / Starting Followers x 100%
