What are some limitations of using a marketing attribution model?

For those of you who've used a marketing attribution model, what are some limitations you've come accross?

Some of the limitations of the marketing attribution models are that they do not account for the influence of external factors. It also does not give a true ROI of the channel or campaign because of reality factors like prices and discounts, offline marketing or brand equity. However, it is good to use it when determining campaign or marketing budgets.
