Dropshipping on Amazon vs Shopify
Asked 3 years ago
What's the cheaper option? I'm more interested in the platform fees/costs rather than customer reach as my start up capital is quite limited at this stage. Can anyone give me a quick breakdown of how much the main costs are for each platform. Cheers !

Shopify is a website host and builder while Amazon is a third-party marketplace. Shopify prices range from $29 to $299 per month. You also pay transaction fees if you're using an external payment gateway. Amazon charges 99 cents per item sold on the individual plan and $39.99 per month for the professional plan. You'll also pay a referral fee based on the product category.
