What is a cohort tracker used for?

Hello there. I was wondering if someone could explain what a cohort tracker is. What is it used for?

A cohort tracker will track the cohorts you've created. For example, you could track the number of users that have upgraded their plan during the month or how many customers have signed up for the product on a particular day.
When tracking you'll know the behaviors of your customers and what makes them buy or inactive. The analysis will help you create better products.
