What does first-touch contribution in Google Analytics mean?
Asked 3 years ago
I've noticed that Google Analytics has got different contribution models. I'm trying to understand what the first interaction with Google Analytics means and indicates. If anyone can provide me with an example, that would be fantastic. Thanks.

First-Touch Attribution is the first channel that introduces your brand to the customer. It is your first shot at attracting customers and leaving an impact on their minds. For example, you want to purchase a new jacket as winter is just around the corner. You search for jackets on Google and click on one of the results. Now how did you make your first interaction with that website — organic search, is the First-Touch Attribution.
