What is the difference between upselling and cross-selling in WooCommerce?
Asked 4 years ago
I know that both of these methods encourage your customers to buy more, but I don't understand the difference between upselling vs. cross-selling.

Up-sells and cross-sells are different ways of adding other products to customers when shopping. Up-sells are products that you recommend instead of the product they're viewing. Usually, they're better quality, more expensive, and more profitable.
While cross-sells are products that you recommend to customers based on what they've added to their cart. They are mostly complementary products e.g; if the customer adds a laptop the cross-sell may be a laptop stand, stickers, or a wireless mouse
