How cost-effective is newspaper advertising?

I know that digital advertising is probably a better way to reach more audiences, but there are a lot of costs involved. If I were to advertise in the newspaper, would it be more affordable?

It might be more affordable, but I don't think it's a great option unless your target audience is the elderly. It's very hard to target specific people through newspaper, and you'll never be able to know how many sales it made you. It's no doubt that digital advertising will give you more ROI in most cases.
