Asked 2 years ago

Is a good CTR what gets your promoted? How does it work?

The average click-through rate for social media platforms was 1.3% in the second quarter of 2020. If we take a closer look, it is evident that this CTR is different for search ads (1.91%) and display ads (0.35%). In Snapchat, CTR is expressed in terms of Swipe Up Rates. Swipe Up Rates is a critical indicator of your Snapchat ad progress, representing your audience's response to your CTAs.

A swipe-up rate or click-through rate (CTR) for Snapchat ads is from 0.35% to 1.5%. CTR shows how many people that saw your ad actually clicked it. Snapchat's swipe up rate benchmark should be at least 1.9% which is Google ads CTR.

The click-through rate for Snapchat should be at least 0.35% if you want to ensure a good amount from your CPC Snapchat ads. But 1.5% is also a decent outcome. On the other side, if we talk about Snapchat ads conversion rate for search, it should be over 1.91%. Anything less than this Snapchat swipe-up-rate benchmark will not be worth it, so always aim for these values.
