Will a cohort analysis identify year-round & once-time customers?

Good morning, I have a Woo-commerce store that has many visitors. However, the customer retention rate doesn't seem to be up to balance out with the number of visitors I get on a monthly basis. I'm hoping that a cohort analysis would be able to separate the high-value customers that buy year-round from one-off customers that only buy discounted products and leave. I also want to be able to pinpoint what is retaining lifelong customers so that I can create more of that. Thank you in advance for any suggestions & tips.

Yes, a cohort analysis can identify year-round and one time customers by using an acquisition cohort. You'll know when customers signed up for your product, when they stopped and what was the cause.
